This historical data reports on the number of students who received a First in Course result in the period 2019–2023. View the gender, location and socio-economic status of students.
About the statistics
The First in Course list shows all students who were placed First in a Course, provided they also received a top band result (Band 6 or Band E4) for the course.

Gender
Use the graph to view the gender of students who received a First in Course result in the period 2019–2023.
Location
Use the graph to view the location of a student's school where a First in Course result was achieved in the period 2019–2023. The location is based on Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Remoteness Area classification.
Socio-economic status (SES)
Use the graph to view the SES of students who received a First in Course result in the period 2019–2023. The SES refers to the location of a student's address.
- Quartile 1 – represents the lowest or most disadvantaged 25% of SES localities.
- Quartile 4 – represents the highest or most advantaged 25%.
