This data reports on the number of students who gained a VET qualification while completing the HSC in the period 2019–2023. View the gender, location and socio-economic status of students.

About the statistics
The graphs show qualifications achieved by students who completed one or more VET courses in Stage 6, delivered by the school system/sector authority and other RTOs and were awarded the Higher School Certificate.
Information about the qualifications delivered by TAFE NSW are not included in these statistics.

Gender
Use the graph to view the gender of students who achieved a VET qualification in the period 2019–2023.
Location
Use the graph to view the location of the school where a student achieved a VET qualification in the period 2019–2023. The location is based on Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Remoteness Area classification.
Socio-economic status (SES)
Use the graph to view the number of students awarded a HSC categorised by SES in the period 2019–2023. The SES refers to the location of a student's address.
- Quartile 1 – represents the lowest or most disadvantaged 25% of SES localities.
- Quartile 4 – represents the highest or most advantaged 25%.
