This data reports on the number of students whose projects and performances were nominated and selected for an HSC showcase in 2024. View the number of students and schools nominated or selected for a showcase.
About the statistics
In 2024, 8 showcases featured more than 450 young creators and innovators.
The HSC showcases celebrates student achievement by reflecting on the creativity and innovation of HSC students. Each year a selection of the top HSC major works across visual arts, performing arts, technologies and English is featured.
Projects and Performances are nominated to be considered for inclusion in the various showcases as exemplary works that meet all exam and syllabus requirements.

1. Students can be nominated across 4 focus areas, resulting in a total of 717 nominations.
2. Students can be nominated for both group and individual projects, resulting in a total of 1,669 nominations.
3. Students are selected for these events by teacher professional associations (not NESA).
4. Students can be nominated for SHAPE, as well as InTECH and TexStyle.
Please note that as of 12 February 2025, the InTech and Texstyle showcase entries have not been selected and some of the corresponding data is not available.
