2025 HSC Timetables Released
HSC students can officially start their exams countdown now that the 2025 HSC exam timetables are out.
Some 80,000 students had access to their personalised HSC exam timetable via Students Online from 9am this morning.
HSC written exams will start on Thursday 16 October 2025 with English Paper 1 as per previous years and finish with Food Technology on Friday 7 November 2025.
NSW Education Standard Authority CEO Paul Martin said the release of the written exam timetable is a major milestone for HSC students and their teachers and families.
"It signals to students that they are around halfway through their final year of school - and that can be exciting and a bit daunting," Mr Martin said.
This year, three new syllabuses will be examined for the first time including the pen and paper Geography exam, as well as Enterprise Computing and Software Engineering, which will be conducted online.
"Thank you to the teachers and principals who have delivered the three brand new senior secondary syllabuses to the 2025 cohort - for examination this year," Mr Martin said.
More than 50 languages oral exams will be examined from August, followed by the start of HSC Performance exams shortly after. Those timetables are also available online.
The arrival of exam timetables offers students some certainty on what is to come and helps with plans and preparations for studying.
"All the best to the HSC Class of 2025 on the final hurrah of your high school journey."
"Remember to look after yourselves - prioritising your health and wellbeing is also important to performing at your best," Mr Martin said.
The full 2025 HSC written exam timetable will be available on the NESA website later this morning, with languages and practical exam timetables already available online. Schools can access a tailored schedule via Schools Online.
