The Education Regulation 2017 (NSW) has been amended to make not for profit requirements clearer and easier to follow. The changes make it easier for non-government schools to understand and comply with not for profit requirements. The Education Act 1990 (NSW) remains unchanged.
The amendments follow the NSW Government’s review of Section 83C of the Education Act 1990 (NSW).
These changes take effect from the publication of Education Amendment (Non-Government Schools) Regulation 2025 on the NSW Legislation website.
