Important change: HSC Chinese Extension Prescriptions 2025 – 2030
NESA has removed the Chinese Extension Stage 6 Course Prescriptions 2025 – 2030.
The Chinese Extension Stage 6 Course Prescriptions 2020 – 2024 have been extended for an additional year. They will be used for the HSC examinations in 2025.

- The Chinese Extension Stage 6 course prescribed text Dear Andre is not readily available and is no longer being published. As a result, NESA has removed this text from the 2025 – 2030 prescriptions.
- NESA has extended the current Chinese Extension Stage 6 course prescriptions that were due to expire after HSC 2024 to HSC 2025. This means that teachers of Chinese Extension Stage 6 should continue to use Young Style (2013) for examination in the HSC 2025.
- The prescriptions will be published in 2024 and will be first examined in HSC 2026.
