New HSC course prescriptions for Languages Extension courses 2020–2024
NESA has published new course prescriptions for the 2020–2024 HSC for Stage 6 languages extension courses.

New course prescriptions for the 2020–2024 Higher School Certificate for Stage 6 Extension course in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek and Spanish have been published and are available to download from the syllabus section of the NESA website.
Implementation of the new course prescriptions will commence at the start of Term 4, 2019 for the 2020 HSC examination.
Schools are reminded that the study of texts prescribed for any Year 12 course may not begin before the completion of the Year 11 course. This applies to study in all Languages Extension Year 11 courses and applies to the study of a prescribed text in any medium, including the film of a novel.
