The new Personal Development, Health and Physical Education(PDHPE) K–10 syllabus is now available for download (as a PDF or Word document) from the NESA website.

In 2018 schools will continue to deliver the current:
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education K–6 syllabus (Published March 1999, updated 2014)
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education Years 7–10syllabus (Published 2003, updated 2015).
Implementation of the new K–10 Personal Development, Health and Physical Education syllabus(2017) is as follows:

Key features of the new syllabus include:
- five propositions that guide teaching, learning and assessment
- three strands; Health, Wellbeing and Relationships, Movement Skill and Performance and Healthy Safe and Active Lifestyles
- three skill domains; self-management, interpersonal and movement
- key inquiry questions
- a reduction in the number of outcomes.
