Croatian Continuers Stage 6 course is at risk of discontinuation in 2026 due to low candidature in 2022 and 2023.
Dutch Continuers Stage 6 course will continue in 2026. This is a result of candidate numbers exceeding 15 in 2023.
The Collaborative Curriculum and Assessment Framework for Languages (CCAFL) National Reference Group has identified that Croatian Continuers Stage 6 is at risk of discontinuation due to low candidature in 2022 and 2023.
The CCAFL policy for the discontinuation of courses states that curriculum and assessment authorities across Australia will discontinue courses if candidature falls below 15 in 3 consecutive years.
If the candidature in Croatian Continuers Stage 6 falls below 15 students in 2024, the course will be discontinued following the 2026 HSC exams. If course numbers increase above 15, the discontinuation process will stop. The potential discontinuation timeline will allow students undertaking the Year 11 course in 2025 to continue and complete their HSC studies in 2026.
