NESA is implementing a new quality assurance process to ensure training activity reporting requirements for VET courses are met.
One of NESA’s satisfactory course completion criteria is evidence that students have ‘achieved some or all of the course outcomes’ (ACE-4016 and ACE-8019). For VET courses, this evidence includes VET data entered in Schools Online.
NESA is implementing a new quality assurance process to ensure training activity reporting requirements for VET courses are met.
Under this process, where there is no evidence of training activity (VET data) recorded in Schools Online, the Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or Higher School Certificate (HSC) credit for a VET course will be withheld by NESA.
NESA considers the following as ‘no evidence of training activity’:
ACE-4034, ACE-8028 and ACE-8032 have been updated accordingly.
Schools and colleges should consult with their school system and/or RTO regarding their responsibilities for reporting training activity.
