The Electrotechnology Curriculum Framework Stage 6 Syllabus has been updated following the release of version 9 of the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package.
The updated syllabus includes a code change for Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career) Start) (UEE22025), updated units of competency, and minor changes to examinable HSC Content. The first HSC exam based on the updated syllabus will be in 2027.
The Electrotechnology record of changes provides further detail and a summary of changes.
Students completing in 2026 the Electrotechnology 240-hour course they commenced in 2025, and students who want to undertake the Electrotechnology 240-hour course in one year in 2026, will complete the course as outlined in the ‘old’ syllabus but can access the new UEE22025 qualification.
Any student wanting to sit the 2026 HSC exam must complete the 240-hour course from the ‘old’ syllabus.
Schools should consult with their school system/sector and/or registered training organisation (RTO) regarding delivery of courses from this Framework for all Electrotechnology students in 2026.
