Working with fibre rope? Find out about different types of end fittings and splicing.

Depending on the application required, slings can have various end fittings, such as:

• soft eyes
• thimble terminations
• endless grommets.

You must only use methods approved by the manufacturer to complete eye or thimble spliced terminations.

All fibre rope lifting slings made from HMPE must be proof loaded to 2x the working load limit. They must also be tagged before use by the fabricator as per AS18264.
