What this assessment will tell you
Complete this self-assessment for the community services portable industry long service leave scheme (the scheme) to see if your organisation:
- employs eligible workers
- is an eligible employer
- is not eligible.
Who does not qualify
Your organisation is not eligible to participate in the scheme if it is a:
- Commonwealth department or agency
- state department or agency
- local government authority
- company whose only workers are directors, and each of the directors participates in the management of the company or shares its profits.

Self-employed contractors
If you are a self-employed contractor, you can choose to participate in the scheme by registering yourself as a worker. It is not mandatory. If you'd like to learn more about doing this, see What you need to do as a self-employed contractor.
