Sell your biodiversity credits at a fixed price
If you own biodiversity credits, or you are establishing a Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement, you may be able to sell credits to us at a price determined by us.
There are 2 ways this may happen:
Direct fixed price offer
We may approach you with an offer to purchase your credits at a price we determine.
Open fixed price offer
There are currently no offers available. When offers open, you can apply through the portal and check the wanted credits list.
The price is fixed and non-negotiable.
If you want to set your own price, you can take part in a credit tender.
Before you decide to sell
We recommend you:
- research the market to compare our price with others. You can use:
- the NSW Biodiversity Credits Market website
- the Biodiversity Conservation Fund charge report
- or other independent sources.
- look into other selling options
- get advice from a tax professional
- if you're establishing a Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement, review our information for new landholders
- if you have a former Biobanking Agreement, you’ll need a Biodiversity Credit Ownership Report (also called a Statement of assessment of reasonable equivalence of biodiversity credits). You can apply for a Statement at environment.nsw.gov.au.
