Our Cultural Biodiversity Conservation pilot program is not currently open.
The pilot program offered an opportunity for Aboriginal landholding organisations to earn annual payments for conserving native plants, animals and wetlands through cultural values and traditional land management practices.
Respecting Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), including knowledge of plants, animals, lands and waterways, is a key part of this pilot. The guide explains how cultural conservation can support income while protecting Country.
