Bourke town centre revitalisation

Improvements to Bourke's town centre will add shade cover, garden beds, seating and lighting, making it a pleasant space for visitors and locals.

Funding will upgrade Bourke’s Central Business District (CBD) with improvements to the pedestrian precinct making it an attractive space for visitors and residents alike.

Infrastructure will include new:

awnings and shade coverings
seating
pedestrian crossings
paving and garden beds
CCTV and lighting.

The project will revitalise Bourke’s CBD and deliver a range of work for local tradies, in turn benefitting local businesses. It will put locals to work immediately during the construction phase, providing an immediate economic stimulus for the town.
