If the registry office is performing your ceremony
Book your registry wedding or micro wedding ceremony through the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages. Find out what’s included and how they are different.
Wedding ceremonies performed by the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages are an affordable, easy and inclusive option.
To be married by the Registry at one of our venues, we first need to interview both parties and receive your marriage documents.
Your marriage interview will be conducted by a member of our team over the phone or in person at our Pyrmont Registry Office. The interview will include booking in your ceremony date and time, and taking payment.

What is a legal-only wedding
A legal-only wedding is a type of marriage ceremony performed on certain days, subject to availability. Bookings are essential.
Ceremonies are held at the Pyrmont Registry in a small, private room. Each ceremony has a capacity of 4 people; the couple and their two witnesses. The celebrant will conduct the legal components of a marriage ceremony only and then register your marriage. You can collect your marriage certificate on the same day as your ceremony.
Registry legal-only weddings include the ceremony only.
