A new online portal will make it easier to find volunteering opportunities.
The Volunteering NSW recruitment website links volunteers with the right organisations and opportunities.
Currently there are nearly 3000 opportunities available on the portal for people who want to volunteer in NSW.
The minister responsible for Volunteering, Ray Williams, said people often didn’t know how to start their volunteering journey.
“We know people who volunteer enjoy better health and have greater opportunities for employment,” Mr Williams said.
The NSW Government partnered with SEEK Volunteer to deliver the state-of-the-art portal.
More than 2.1 million volunteers in NSW contribute 240 million hours of their time.
