Program objective
Several services have become operational between 1 September and 31 December 2024. 2025 Start Strong for Long Day Care program eligibility checks and initial annual funding allocations used enrolment data from the representative week of 24 June to 30 June 2024 (June 2024 Data). 2024 Start Strong for Long Day Care program eligibility checks and initial annual funding allocations used enrolment data from the two representative weeks of 26 June to 2 July 2023 (June 2023 Data) and 19 February to 25 February 2024 (February 2024 Data).
The Australian Government data does not capture ‘new’ services that opened after the June 2024 representative week. Some existing ‘missed’ services are also not found within the June 2024 data. Missed services can occur for various reasons including failure to report CCS enrolment data or temporary voluntary suspension.
The application will collect data to allocate funding under the 2024 Start Strong for Long Day Care and 2025 Start Strong for Long Day Care programs.
If eligible, funding will be backdated to the service opening date in 2024. This application will request enrolment information from a representative week in December 2024.
The information will be used to calculate:
- 2024 Start Strong for Long Day Care pro-rata annual allocation, backdated to service opening date in 2024
- Instalment 1 of eligible 2025 Start Strong for Long Day Care funding streams
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) data for the representative week of 24 February to 2 March 2025 (February 2025 data) will be used to calculate Instalment 2 of eligible 2025 Start Strong for Long Day Care funding streams.
