The purpose of the Minister’s Discretionary Fund (MDF) is to provide one-off grant funding at the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Treaty’s discretion, to support Aboriginal people and communities across NSW.

Program objective

The objective of the MDF is to allow for the provision of small grants in support of and consistent with the targets and priorities of the vision of Aboriginal Affairs NSW (AANSW) and Minister’s Priorities through the funding of

• small-scale activities, events or initiatives, which may be deserving of support from the NSW Government, and/or

• community needs that arise unexpectedly throughout the year and/or are time sensitive

This program is administered by Aboriginal Affairs.
