Program objective
AHO intended objectives for TAG are to support better education and employment outcomes for Aboriginal people in NSW. Aboriginal students will benefit from the program’s successful implementation.
Long term employment and housing benefits, students who complete tertiary qualifications are more likely to gain long term employment and reduces the likelihood of social housing needs over their life course.
Retention of students, the program has capacity to retain students that would otherwise be at risk of dropping out due to housing stress or financial hardship.
Attracting new Aboriginal students, the program has capacity to attract new Aboriginal students to tertiary education and support completion of formative studies.
This program is administered by Department of Communities and Justice.
