The NSW Ministry of Health is seeking grant applications from select Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) to enhance their supports to the families, kin, carers and friends of people using alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

Program objective
The grants seek to enhance the capacity of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) to deliver culturally responsive and evidence-informed supports to the families, kin, carers and friends of people using alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
The primary aim is to improve health and wellbeing outcomes of people using AOD, and their families, kin, friends and carers.
This program is funded and administered by NSW Health.
Eligibility
This grant stream is for select ACCHS only.
Invitations to submit an application for up to $250,000 are based on data indicating areas of need and advice from the Centre for Aboriginal Health, NSW Ministry of Health.
ACCHS (including those that are and are not eligible to apply in this stream) and non-government organisations in NSW can apply for funding under Alcohol and Other Drugs Family, Carer and Friends Support Grants - Stream 1.
While ACCHS can apply for both streams, only one grant will be allocated to any individual organisation.

After the application is submitted
Successful applications will be decided by: Executive Director, Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs, NSW Ministry of Health
The applications will be assessed by a panel and both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
