Community Energy Outreach Program - Round 1 Grant

Program objective

The purpose of this program is to:

• Co-fund community organisations to deliver new community energy outreach initiatives.
• Providing funding for grassroots engagement to educate and empower households and small businesses, including community events and on the ground face-to-face engagement (such as bring your bill days). 
• Provide grant funding to community-based organisations across NSW. These organisations will help ensure all our diverse audiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and rural and regional areas are included in the energy transition. 

The grant should allow community organisations to build capacity and capability internally to allow greater impact in the outreach they deliver.

This grant program will:

• provide an opportunity for community organisations to establish new energy literacy engagement and/or education that best suits their communities
• increase the energy literacy for households and small businesses in diverse communities
• strengthen collaboration between community organisations and government to ensure consistency in messages to households and small businesses
• build energy literacy resources that can support communities beyond the life of the grant.

This grant round is only open to selected organisations

This program is administered by The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.

Grant recipients
