Program objective
The program is a closed, non-competitive grants program only open to the 9 councils (Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith and Wollondilly) within the CPCP region.
The purpose of the Program is to increase the councils’ capacity to engage and collaborate with the Traditional Custodians and local Aboriginal communities in their areas and deliver meaningful on-ground Caring for Country projects in partnership with them.
Each council can apply for up to $130,000.
This program is funded and administered by Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Support and contact
Councils will need to provide:
- quarterly progress reports
- collect and record agreed data that will be used in the project and program evaluation
- submit a final report and project evaluation.
A final completion report and program evaluation will be completed at the close of the program.
