Program objective
Create NSW and Festivals Artform Advisory Board have identified a range of small regional festivals that have demonstrated early success. These festivals have a focus on attracting good audience numbers, with innovative programming, demonstrating exemplary local engagement and a strong First Nations programming element.
Foundational Regional Festivals funding objectives:
- deliver a dynamic and diverse range of arts and cultural experiences to communities across NSW
- contribute to the development of a vibrant and accessible arts and cultural sector
- support the employment and development of professional NSW-based artists and arts/cultural workers (including museum workers).
- stimulate regional economies
- activate regional and remote communities
- drive visitation through cultural tourism offers
