Program objective
This grant supports research and sector engagement to explore potential for the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) to expand its remit to enable mandatory membership of irrigation corporations for dispute resolution of water supply service complaints; and, pending EWON Board approval, set up the new jurisdiction to receive complaints.
- For EWON to explore a potential role for it to expand its remit to enable mandatory membership of irrigation corporations for dispute resolution of water supply service complaints;
- this activity to inform a final decision of the EWON Board about progressing with the expansion;
- if the Board decides to proceed with the expansion of EWON’s remit, set up the new jurisdiction to receive complaints.
This program is funded and administered by Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and Water.
