This program aims to increase the adoption of improved natural resources management (NRM) practices by landholders and communities on the Far South Coast. Grants will support projects to improve the resilience of threatened ecological communities.

Program objective
This program will help land managers protect and enhance threatened ecological communities to improve native vegetation connectivity and quality. Funded projects will help reduce impacts to threatened ecological communities (TECs) from stock, weed incursion and fragmentation.
Protection and increased connectivity will assist in improvements to biodiversity and also help with production by providing shelter, reduced parasite load, and improved water quality.
This program is administered by Local Land Services.
This program is funded by Department of Regional NSW.
Eligibility
Applicant eligibility
- Applicants must:
- own or manage the property (managers should discuss this application with the owner before they apply)
- be willing to enter into a 10 year agreement with Local Land Services.
- agree to 50/50 cost sharing with Local Land Services for the project costs, at Local Land Services standard rates.
- The landowner must have no outstanding debts to Local Land Services.
Project eligibility
- The project must include the protection of good remnant vegetation, regeneration or planting of native trees and shrubs.
- Stock will need to be excluded from the area to allow native vegetation to establish or regenerate naturally.
- Project areas will need to be managed sustainably with ongoing pest and weed control and sustainable management.
- The project site must be in the Eurobodalla or Bega Valley Local Government Area.
- All on-ground works previously funded by Local Land Services and/or Catchment Management Authorities are complete.
Who can apply
Rural landholders and community groups in the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley local government areas.
Who can’t apply
Councils and government organisations.

Address the eligibility criteria
Stock will need to be excluded from the area to allow native vegetation to establish or regenerate naturally, after which the area will need to be managed sustainably with ongoing pest and weed control and sustainable grazing management.
Landholders will be expected to enter into an agreement with LLS to maintain the works for a period of 10 years.
