Program objective
Through the specialist phone-based services of PANDA – Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia – this initiative aims to:
- Provide trauma-informed tele-psychosocial support based on the expressed needs of consumers (determined through early consumer consultation).
- Engage in ‘warm-hand overs’ of consumers through an introductory session between Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health and PANDA practitioners.
- Facilitate continuity of online psychosocial support to up to 100 consumers for up to 6 sessions within the community.
- Facilitate coordination of care by linking women with other mental health and social supports prior to the final session.
This program is funded and administered by NSW Health.
