Program objective
Project Elizabeth provides pre through to postpartum counselling services 24 hours per week to girls, women and their families.
The program focuses on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of the mother and infant and their extended families, targeting vulnerable families and those of socioeconomic disadvantage.
Project Elizabeth addresses:
- acute pregnancy crisis issues
- pregnancy choice support with informed options
- terminations
- miscarriage
- post-natal depression
- grief and loss
- domestic violence
- anxiety
- relationships and infant child development.
This program is funded and administered by Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
