About the Project

The Avenel Park project will deliver a new innovative and inclusive open space in Canley Vale that will promote a welcoming active lifestyle and improve the community’s health and wellbeing. The project will be purpose built to meet the increasing demand for safe and inclusive outdoor play and recreation. 

Project Scope

The project will deliver:

  • Construction of a Skate Park
  • Turf mound with seating area inside
  • Walking circuit path
  • Sheltered seating, picnic shelters, picnic settings, rubbish stations and miscellaneous furniture including bollards, benches, bike racks and tactiles
  • Multi-sports court
  • Softfall areas
  • Obstacle course
  • Inclusive fitness area with 25 metre sprint track
  • Cooling stations and bubblers
  • Soft Landscaping including turfing, mass planting and tree planting
