About the Project

The Upgrade to Cooke Park Skatepark Project delivers a range of enhancements to the existing park in Belfield, activating the space for mixed recreation and creating a hub for young people. The project expands the existing skatepark footprint to support current park users while encouraging aspiring youth to be active and build social connections. 

Project Scope

The project features:

  • Expanded skate surface
  • Improved surface of existing skate facility – including repairs and cleaning
  • Additional skating features – including street skating features such as rails and slappy curbs
  • Shade shelter 5. Garbage bins installed
  • Seating
  • Ramped connection path from existing path network to skatepark
  • New and repaired connecting pathways
  • Artwork installation
