A review of the Surveying Regulation
The Department of Customer Service is seeking feedback on the draft Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2024 and the Regulatory Impact Statement.

What’s this about?
The Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2017 is due to be repealed on 1 September 2024.
The Regulation sets technical and administrative standards for land and mining surveys in NSW.
It ensures:
- competent surveyors provide the public with professional survey services
- the maintenance and on-going development of the state control survey and State cadastre – which provide a reliable and accurate spatial referencing system underpinning titling, surveying, spatial information and mapping systems in NSW.
DCS-Spatial Services is inviting comments on the draft Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2024 and the accompanying Regulatory Impact Statement.
