The Albury Local Environmental Plan 2010 is subject to an Order (PDF, 2.99MB) conferring biodiversity certification.

The certification applies to land that is in the Business, Industrial and Residential Zones of the Albury Local Environmental Plan 2010 and that is subject to the Biodiversity Certification of Environmental Planning Instruments Order 2017 (PDF, 5MB).

Biodiversity certification allows development to proceed without the usual requirement for site-by-site assessment of biodiversity impacts. The certification is due to expire on 25 February 2021 and may be extended for a period of up to 10 years.
