What’s this about?
The Far North Coast Bush Fire Management Committee is seeking feedback on a draft bush fire risk management plan (BFRMP) for the Far North Coast region in NSW.
A BFRMP is a document that identifies:
- bush fire risk to communities
- ways of reducing the impact of fires across an area to keep people safe and protect the things we value.
The Far North Coast Bush Fire Management Committee is made up of fire agencies, land managers and other stakeholders. They have been working hard to find ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Tweed, Byron and Ballina Local Government Areas – protecting lives, homes, businesses, the environment, cultural values and other assets in this region.
View the plan online or at Far North Coast Fire Control Centre and Council Chambers in Ballina, Mullumbimby and Murwillumbah. Your feedback is important. By planning together, we will help shape the bush fire risk management plan for this area for the next 5 years.
