What’s this about?
The Combat Sports Regulation 2014 supports the operation of the Combat Sports Act 2013 by prescribing the safety, medical and administrative requirements for combat sports in New South Wales.
The Combat Sports Regulation 2014 is due to be repealed on 1 September 2027 in accordance with the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. The Office of Sport is proposing to renew the Regulation.
The proposed Regulation rolls over most of the current provisions with updates to:
- modernise the regulatory framework
- remove outdated provisions
- improve clarity and consistency.
We want to hear from stakeholders on the draft Combat Sports Regulation 2026 including amendments outlined in the Regulatory Impact Statement.
