What’s this about?

The Mid Murray Bush Fire Management Committee is seeking feedback on a draft bush fire risk management plan (BFRMP).

A BFRMP is a document that identifies:

  • bush fire risk to communities
  • ways of reducing the impact of fires across an area to keep people safe and protect the things we value.

The Mid Murray Bush Fire Management Committee, made up of fire agencies, land managers, and other stakeholders have been working hard to find ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Murray River and Edward River Local Government Areas.

Their goal is to protect lives, homes, businesses, agriculture, the environment and other important things in this area.

Your feedback is important. By planning together, we will help shape the bush fire risk management plan for this area for the next 5 years.
