What’s this about?

What is essential and when it should be taught is being clarified, with the aim of giving teachers more time to focus on what is vital and foundational.

Foundational literacy and numeracy skills set students up to thrive at schools and throughout their careers.

Feedback is important and will help NESA make sure that our youngest students build strong foundations for future learning.

This is part of the NSW Curriculum Reform, the first comprehensive reform of the NSW curriculum since 1989. The NSW Government considered the recommendations of a wide-ranging review and was supportive of the overall principles of proposed reform.
