What’s this about?
The regulation of prohibited plants and drugs in NSW is governed by the Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 and the Regulation. The Regulation provides for the sale and storage of precursor chemicals, and provides for the dealing with, and analysis of, drug exhibits.
- The Drug Misuse and Trafficking Regulation 2011 is due for repeal on 1 September 2021. The Drug Misuse and Trafficking Regulation 2021 remakes this regulation with some proposed amendments.
- The changes are outlined in the Proposed Drug and Misuse and Trafficking Regulation 2021 and Regulatory Impact Statement.
The NSW Government invites interested individuals and organisations to provide feedback on the proposed Regulation.
