What’s this about?

The Department of Planning and Environment is seeking feedback on its proposed amendments to the Water Sharing Plan for the Great Artesian Basin Groundwater Sources 2020.

The plan governs water sharing arrangements in the Basin area, including limits on the total volume of water that can be extracted from groundwater sources .

The proposed amendments seek to address unintended restrictions imposed on Basic Landholder Right (BLR) and other groundwater users.

You are invited to submit your feedback on the proposed amendments.
