What’s this about?

The NSW Government is investing $2.5 billion towards upgrading the Great Western Highway between Katoomba and Lithgow.

The upgrade will reduce congestion and provide a more safer, efficient and reliable journey for all road users travelling in and around the Blue Mountains. The upgrade will also improve the journey to Sydney and the Central West.

Medlow Bath is the first section of the Great Western Highway upgrade to begin detailed design.

Transport for NSW is seeking feedback from interested stakeholders to help refine the proposed route and understand the best outcomes for local communities.
