What’s this about?
Planning for the Murramarang South Coast Walk has commenced. The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment are working through the design and approval processes.
Provided necessary approvals will be granted, construction is expected to begin in 2020. Construction will be undertaken in a staged approach and is expected to be complete by June 2022.
New track sections will be built to connect existing tracks which will be upgraded to deliver a high-quality and consistent trail experience.
The walk will start near Batemans Bay, the Murramarang National Park and Murramarang Aboriginal Area. The walk will connect the coastal villages of Maloneys Beach, Durras, Depot Beach, Kioloa and finish at Bawley Point near Ulladulla.
The draft master plan (PDF, 5.7 MB) will provide the community with an opportunity to refine the vision for the Murramarang South Coast Walk.
