Manager, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service Planning and Assessment
What’s this about?
Narran Lake Nature Reserve is located on the upper western plains of NSW. It is part of an area that is traditionally known as Dharriwaa and is an important meeting place for surrounding Aboriginal Nations. The reserve protects outstanding natural and cultural values and a wetland of international significance. Approximately one-third of the park is the Narran Lake Nature Reserve Ramsar site.
The draft plan of management for the Narran Lake Nature Reserve is on public exhibition. You can have a say about the future management of this park by making a submission on the draft plan.
The submissions we receive will inform the preparation of a final plan, to be adopted under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974. Once adopted, the plan of management will direct how the park is managed.
