No stopping on Garfield Road East

What’s this about?

Transport for NSW (Transport) is seeking feedback on traffic and safety conditions on the road network to make sure that they continue to meet the needs of the community. Transport has received concerns from residents about trucks parking along their frontage blocking their driveway and their view to see oncoming traffic as they exit their driveways resulting in near misses.

To improve safety and efficiency along this section of Garfield Road East, Transport is proposing to introduce ‘No stopping’ restriction along Garfield Road East between Pitt Street and Oxford Street.

The proposal will provide a safer environment for the road users and residents. Full time ‘No stopping’ zone will also result in better sight lines for residents exiting their driveways.
