The Department of Planning, Industry & Environment is seeking feedback on the draft report for the 2020 northern Murray-Darling Basin first flush event.

What’s this about?

From mid-January 2020 to early February 2020, the NSW Government put in place water restrictions to manage the first major water flows across the northern Murray-Darling Basin.

An independent panel has released a draft report on the management of the 2020 northern Murray-Darling Basin first flush event. 

The panel is seeking community feedback on its draft report following an earlier public consultation in May 2020.

The report includes recommendations on how the management of first flush events can be improved in the future.
