What’s this about?

The NSW Department of Primary Industries’ NSW Oyster Industry Sustainable Aquaculture Strategy has undergone review during 2020 to 2021. First published in 2006 the strategy was reviewed in 2014 and 2016. The strategy has now been updated by the NSW Aquaculture Steering Committee comprising of 11 government departments.  The vision of the strategy is to promote a thriving, economically and environmentally sustainable oyster aquaculture industry.

The fourth edition of the NSW Oyster Industry Sustainable Aquaculture Strategy reflects various changes to legislation, agency details and best practice industry guidelines.
