What’s this about?
Part 8 of the NSW National Law relates to processes for dealing with complaints against registered health practitioners and student practitioners in NSW.
The focus of the review is to consider the operation of the complaints process in NSW under the NSW National Law, ensure public safety, whilst maintaining practitioner wellbeing through complaints processes.
This discussion paper seeks feedback on what, if any, changes should be made to the NSW National law with a focus on:
- section 150 processes for taking immediate action
- the health, performance, and conduct streams
- undertakings and whether they should be implemented in NSW.
The Ministry welcomes your feedback on these matters and others raised in the discussion paper.
