What’s this about?

The Geographical Names Board (GNB) is seeking community feedback on a proposal by Transport for NSW to name a railway station in the locality of Westmead as Westmead Raiway Station.

The new metro railway station is located on the southern side of Alexandria Avenue opposite the existing Westmead Railway Station located on the northern side of Alexandria Avenue Westmead, in the City of Parramatta Local Government Area.

The current Westmead Railway Station is well known and the new Metro Station forms part of the transport interchange at Westmead, providing a connection for customers interchanging between the rail and metro services.
