What’s this about?

Transport for NSW is planning to upgrade Richmond Road from Elara Boulevard to Heritage Road.

Residents in the area are concerned about the increasingly heavy traffic in the North West Growth Centre.

Key features of the upgrade include:

  • widening 900m of Richmond Road from two lanes to four lanes (two lanes in each direction)
  • installing new traffic lights 800m north-west of Elara Boulevard
  • providing bus bays and bus priority lanes at the main intersection
  • providing a wide central median for future widening of the road to six lanes, if needed.

The upgrades will improve the safety of motorists and pedestrians – particularly during peak hours.

Facebook live session will also be held on Thursday 12 November 2020 to discuss the upgrades in detail. Visit the consultation page for further information.
