What’s this about?

A mandatory 10 year review of the Snowy Water Licence commenced in 2018.

The review included a public consultation period, and resulted in 23 actions for implementation and 10 proposed administrative amendments to the Snowy Water Licence.

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment invites feedback on the proposed amendments. The amendments aim to:

  • improve oversight of Snowy Hydro’s operations
  • improve the coordination of environmental water management
  • increase transparency
  • simplify provisions
  • secure current practice
  • fix known errors.
