What’s this about?

In October 2020, a statutory review of the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act 2013 and Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2014 took place. The report is now finalised.

The report provides 40 recommendations about the WHS (MPS) Laws. Further consultation with industry stakeholders is required for the recommendations as they are complex. Some recommendations may require legislative reform.

Download the discussion paper (PDF, 657KB) to find out more about the recommendations.

NSW Resources Regulator will examine submissions, consider the issues raised and make recommendations on any amendments to the WHS (MPS) Laws required.
